CONCORD, N.H.- New Hampshire Supreme Court Justice Anna Barbara Hantz Marconi will return to her position on the state’s high court, after she entered a no-contest plea to a misdemeanor charge of criminal solicitation after prosecutors say she misused her position.
The court Tuesday accepted Marconi’s plea and found her guilty of trying to influence a criminal case against her husband, Port Authority Director Geno Marconi who has pleaded not guilty to two felony and four misdemeanor charges that he provided confidential motor vehicle records to another person and deleted at least one voicemail related to an investigation.
It should be noted that Marconi’s plea is not an admission of guilt, but rather an acknowledgement that the state had enough evidence to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
