COVID-19 Update
March 16, 2020

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Merrimack Police Department has made several changes to our daily operations. Until further notice, the following procedures will be in effect:

  • Live Scan fingerprinting for members of the public will not be available.
  • All non-emergency complaints will be handled over the phone. This will not affect emergency calls for service and those calls which require officers to respond.
  • The police department will continue to conduct House Checks, but will only take requests over the phone.
  • We encourage citizens to not respond to the police department lobby unless absolutely necessary.  Any requests made in person will still be handled via the lobby telephone to limit face to face contact.
  • Report requests will temporarily stop. If a report is needed for an emergency hearing, you may call the police department to request the information for pickup.

These temporary changes to business operations are being made to protect our first responders and support staff, as well as the public at large. We encourage the community to look out for your neighbors, especially those who are elderly, homebound, or susceptible to illnesses. Please do not stockpile food or other household supplies which may be in short supply and will be needed by all. If you know someone who is in need of assistance, please contact the police department and we will make arrangements. For all inquiries, please call 603-424-3774.

The Merrimack Police Department is also encouraging citizens to remain calm. Together, we can and will be successful in navigating through these unprecedented times.
