Milford Man charged with sexual assault

In August, 2020, the Merrimack Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau began a sexual assault investigation.

 Through the course of this investigation, it was determined that the suspect to this case, Logan Chaput, had sexual relations with a person under the age of 16 years. Additionally, Chaput had also obtained numerous sexually explicit images from a minor via electronic communication.

 On September 2nd, 2020, Chaput was arrested and charged with the felony offenses of Felonious Sexual Assault and Manufacturing Child Sexual Abuse Images, as well as the misdemeanor charge of sexual assault. Chaput refused bail and was transported to the Hillsborough County Department of Corrections pending his arraignment at the Hillsborough County Superior Court (south-Nashua) on 9/3/2020.

 After arraignment on 9/3/2020, Chaput was released on PR bail. His bail conditions include a requirement to refrain from unsupervised contact with minors.
