Missing man found in Merrimack River

On Wednesday, December 4, 2019 the Hooksett Police Department was contacted by the Pembroke Police Department regarding a missing person from their town. Pembroke had received information that the missing 24 year old male may be in the Merrimack River in Hooksett. Hooksett and Pembroke Police were assisted by the New Hampshire Fish and Game who, using underwater equipment, located the missing man’s vehicle submerged in approximately 24 feet of water near the boat launch in Lamberts Park. The area was secured overnight. This morning, a dive team from the NH Fish and Game located the man’s body inside of the vehicle. His body was recovered. An autopsy will be performed on Friday December 6th.

The Police do not expect foul play was involved and are not releasing the males name until family notifications have been made. The Hooksett Police Department would like to thank the members of the NH Fish and Game Department for their assistance.
