According to court documents on Monday a judge accepted a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity from Raymond Moore,22, the stabbing death of Daniel Whitmore, 72, as Moore told the court he was not on his medication at the time of the murder and was hearing voices in his head when he stabbed Whitmore numerous times along a walking trail near Nut’s pond.

As part of his sentence the judge ordered that Moore be reevaluated every five years in order to determine whether or not he should remain at the New Hampshire Psychiatric hospital.
