MANCHESTER, NH- The mother of Harmony Montgomery has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the girl’s father.
Crystal Sorey filed the lawsuit Monday against Adam Montgomery on behalf of Harmony’s estate, seeking compensation for the 5-year-old’s death.
Montgomery was convicted in 2024 of second-degree murder and sentenced to 45 years to life in prison and is currently incarcerated in Virginia.
Prior to this suit Sorey had reached a $2.25 million settlement with the state of New Hampshire in another lawsuit in which she accused the Division for Children, Youth and Families of failing to protect Harmony.
The settlement included “no admission of wrongdoing” by the state.
