NASHUA, N.H.- Police say a woman has been charged after a 2-year-old in her care was hospitalized with serious internal injuries earlier this month.

According to Police Brianna Greenlaugh was taken into custody Thursday out of an investigation that began on March 15, when Fire Responders answered a call for a 2-year-old experiencing a seizure, who was then taken to an area hospital, where an examination revealed serious, non-life threating internal injuries. From there hospital officials contacted the state’s Division of Children, Youth, and Family over concerns the child had been abused.

Police say Greenlaugh, 28, was arrested and charged with felony level first-degree assault involving domestic violence and tampering with witnesses and informants.

Following her arrest Greenlaugh was ordered held on preventive detention and was scheduled for an arraignment last week in Nashua’s 9th Circuit District Division Court.
