The state of New Hampshire is launching what it’s calling a better, simpler vaccination sign-up system for the next phase of COVID-19 vaccinations.
The Vaccine and Immunization Network Interface, or VINI, will be launching Wednesday, when school, child care and youth camp staff members can sign up for appointments.
But Gov. Chris Sununu said the system will be much easier to navigate, and it will be easier for someone to find an appointment.
“It’s just a world of difference better and simpler than the older system,” he said.

VINI will have some similarities to the federal Vaccine Administration Management System, which was used for sign-ups in earlier vaccination phases. A pre-registration step will check a person’s eligibility, and then an email will be sent with a link to schedule the appointment.

Beth Daly, chief of the state’s Bureau of Infectious Disease Control, said 21% of New Hampshire’s population has received at least one dose of the vaccine, and 10% are fully vaccinated, including more than 11,000 who received the Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine at a mass vaccination clinic last weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Daly said the state expects to receive 31,250 doses of the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines this week, but no doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. The company has been working to ramp up production of its vaccine after it was authorized for emergency use.
With Phase 2A of the state’s vaccination program set to launch, Daly said anyone who is eligible in Phase 1 who hasn’t been scheduled for a vaccination should call 211 for help getting an appointment.
