MANCHESTER, N.H.- The New Hampshire Supreme Court says it will not reconsider its recent decision that reverses the second-degree murder conviction of Adam Montgomery in the death of his daughter, Harmony Montgomery.
According to court documents, back on July 10, the court denied the state’s request, and issued the following statement:
“We have reviewed the claims made in the State’s motion to reconsider and conclude that no points of law or fact were overlooked or misapprehended in the opinion deciding this appeal…Accordingly, upon reconsideration, we affirm the June 11, 2026, decision and deny the relief requested in the motion.”
The news comes as Montgomery is currently serving a sentence of 45 years to life on the second-degree murder conviction and sentenced to an additional 11 years, after he admitted to charges of abuse of a corpse, falsifying physical evidence, along with witness tampering. And is also serving a term of 32 years for unrelated firearms convictions.
Montgomery is currently serving his sentence at a prison in Virgina.
A scheduling conference has been set for August 14; however, it remains unknown as to how quickly a new trial will be scheduled.
