On July 26, 2021 at approximately 2:00 PM, NH State Police- Troop E Dispatch received a call of a boating accident involving a pontoon boat and paddle boarder off of Church Landing on Lake Winnipesaukee in Meredith.
NHSP- Marine Patrol, Meredith PD and Stewart’s Ambulance responded to the call. During the initial investigation, officers leaned that the pontoon boat, operated by Karalyn Remillard, age 51 of Franklin, MA was attempting to dock the vessel. While maneuvering, the vessel reportedly struck a 51-year old female from Chappaqua, NY who was on a paddleboard.
After the collision, people aboard the pontoon boat rendered assistance, helping the paddle boarder out of the water and to the shoreline.
The victim was transported to Concord Hospital – Laconia for evaluation.
