Pedestrian suffered fatal injuries in mid morning accident in Keene

KEENE, N.H.-Keene Police responded Wednesday morning to the parking lot on Winchester St following a serious motor vehicle collision involving a commercial motor vehicle and a pedestrian.

Authorities say Pamela Savard,78, of Keene sustained fatal injuries during the collision.

The commercial motor vehicle that struck Ms. Savard was a Kenworth refuse recycling truck.

An initial Police investigation suggests that Savard was walking behind the truck, which was backing into the parking lot, when she was struck.

The details and circumstances of this collision are still under investigation.  It is not clear if charges will be filed.
