A person in Manchester has been diagnosed with tuberculosis. State health officials say the individual was described as an adult who spent time in a homeless shelter and a community organization in Manchester while infectious. The Department of Health and Human Services said the person is receiving treatment. Tuberculosis is an infectious disease that mainly affects the lungs and can spread when a person with the illness coughs or sneezes.
