On Saturday December 12, 2020 at approximately 1500 hours, Troopers from NH State Police Troop B responded to a single vehicle rollover on I-293 S in Hooksett, NH. The vehicle, a 2003 Subaru Forester color brown, was observed by witnesses to have been traveling south in the left lane when it began to drift towards the center median.
The operator then appeared to overcorrect to the right at which time the vehicle rolled several times before coming to rest on its roof in the wood line off the right side of the highway. When Troopers arrived, several bystanders, to include an off duty NH Trooper and an off duty Amherst Firefighter, were on scene attempting to render aid to the driver and passenger, both of whom were trapped in the vehicle. The operator, 25-year-old Melissa Boualaphanh from Lowell, MA was extricated from the vehicle and transported to the Elliot Hospital in Manchester with life threatening injuries.
The passenger, 38-year-old Jared Phoev also from Lowell, MA was also removed from the vehicle and transported to Catholic Medical Center in Manchester with serious injuries. Phoev was later transported to a Boston area hospital for further treatment.
The right travel lane was shut down for approximately 2 ½ hrs while Troopers from Troops B and D investigated the scene.
Hooksett Fire/EMS along with Bow fire /Ems also assist at the scene.
