President Approves NH Disaster Declaration Relief

President Biden has approved New Hampshire’s disaster declaration request after intense storms slammed Carroll, Coos and Grafton counties in December. Communities in those areas will also be able to apply for federal funds that could help prevent future damages. A preliminary state-wide assessment found over $2 1/2 million in damages and response efforts. Governor Sununu says this provides the opportunity for those communities that experienced extensive damage from the severe storm to recuperate costs incurred while fixing damages.
