On Saturday, April 25th, 2020, at approximately 0609 hours, New Hampshire State Police – Troop A Dispatch received a complaint of a road rage incident in which a firearm was brandished by one of the vehicle operators, on Route 16, in Newington.

The suspect vehicle was located a short time later in Newington. Troop-A Troopers made contact with the operator, who was identified as:

NICHOLAS J LACAGNINA, Age 23 Newmarket, NH

Preliminary investigation revealed that the incident actually occurred on Route 4 in Durham, NH. During their investigation, Troopers developed probable cause to believe that Mr. Lacagnina had committed the crime of felony level Criminal Threatening, and he was taken into custody without incident. Lacagnina was released on Personal Recognizance bail and is to appear at the Strafford County Superior Court on 06/11/2020 at 1300 hours.

Troop-A Troopers were assisted with the investigation by the Newington Police Department.
