On May 4, 2021, Manchester Police arrested 51 year old Joseph Goffinet, charging him with 2 counts of Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault on a child.

This investigation dates back to March 26, 2021, when a relative of the child contacted police, reporting that Goffinet had sexually assaulted the child on more than one occasion. The child is under the age of 13.

Police also determined that Goffinet is a Tier 1 registered sex offender, stemming from a 2007 conviction.

Goffinet was held on a preventative detention pending a hearing.
