CONCORD, N.H- State Senator Dan Innis has become the latest name in New Hampshire politics to announce a bid for the U.S. Senate.
On Wednesday the Bradford Republican announced his plans to WMUR-TV in which he said,” We need to get New Hampshire values in Washington, D.C.,” Innis said. “I am determined to win.”
Following his announcement Innis joins fellow Republican and former Massachusetts senator and ambassador to New Zealand Scott Brown in a race for the GOP nomination, as the winner will face off against Democrat Chris Pappas.
Innis’ decision to run for the Senate marks his latest accomplishment, as not only is he currently serving in the State Senate but also owns and operates the Trails End Farm and teaches at the University of New Hampshire’s Department of Hospitality Management and served as the former dead of the UNH Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics.
Back in 2014 Innis ran in the 1st Congressional District but ended up losing to former U.S. Rep. Frank Guinta. and then again in 2016.
