Police had to use stop sticks at the Rochester Tolls to stop a driver that had been driving 95 miles per hour on Route 16, refusing to stop for police. 24 year old Benjamin Hatch of Stafford and his female passenger were both taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit. The HONDA CRV he was driving was reported stolen from Rochester.
.Hatch is being charged with Aggravated DWI, Reckless Operation, Driving After Suspension, Receiving Stolen Property, Disobeying an Officer and Resisting Arrest. He is scheduled to appear in the Strafford County Superior Court on todays date for his arraignment.
The passenger was identified as, Angela RUOTOLO, age 31 of Westbrook, Maine. She is being charged with Resisting Arrest.
