Storm Closings and Parking Bans

Manchester, NH:  Snow Emergency declared for Thursday evening, December 17th. No parking on all city streets.

Amoskeag Health—Site is closed for in person appointments, but all virtual appointments are still scheduled 12/17

Manchester School District schools will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, Dec. 17, for a snow day. There is no remote learning. Classes will resume on Friday. We hope our families can take a moment together to enjoy the first snow day of the school year.

CONCORD, NH: The City of Concord has issued a Winter Storm Event Parking Ban for Concord, New Hampshire. No on-street parking on any street city-wide from midnight to 7:00 a.m. Friday, December 18. Please move your car off the street to help the plows clear snow and to avoid getting a parking ticket or being towed. Free parking is available in the City garages starting at 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 a.m. tomorrow for permit/lease spaces (marked with signage) and until 9:00 a.m. for metered spaces. Penacook residents may park overnight at the Canal Street Municipal Parking Lot at the corner of Village St. and Canal St. near Chief’s Restaurant while city-wide parking bans are in effect. The ConVal School District will be closed Thursday 12/17.

Due to inclement weather, the Manchester Department of Public Works and Pinard Waste have suspended all trash and recycling collection operations for the day. Residents who have trash pick up on Thursdays should put their items out on Friday. Residents who have pickup on Friday will experience a  24 hour delay. Thank you for your cooperation and concern for the safety of our refuse collectors.
