DURHAM, N.H.- Authorities say officers attempting to serve an arrest warrant early Monday morning on Rory Robertson,46, ended up in a standoff were met with fireworks.
According to police the incident began after police attempted to serve a warrant at Robertson’s home on Denbow Road.
As Roberston who’s a registered sex offender, had outstanding warrants he was aware of for Breach of Bail, Violation of Bail Conditions, and Theft by Unauthorized Taking.
According to Police, Robertson attempted to avoid a police vehicle and drove back to his residence where he aimed and discharged fireworks in the direction of law enforcement officers and a marked patrol car.
After more than an hour standoff Robertson left the home and walked directly toward police officers. Officers deployed several Pepper Ball rounds, one struck Roberton who was transported to the hospital for treatment.
