HAMPTON, NH – The New Hampshire Board of Tax and Land Appeals is ordering the Town of Hampton to complete a full revaluation of the town’s property assessment – stating the Town hasn’t conduced a full inspection in two decades.

Hampton completed its most recent assessment in 2024, However, that assessment concerned many taxpayers.

Several taxpayers in Hampton have filed a petition with the board, claiming the 2024 assessment caused taxes to rise 13.4% and that the town-wide assessment increased 54% compared with the previous year.

Hampton has until 2028 to complete the revaluation.
