CONCORD, N.H. —
New Hampshire plans next month to reintroduce its work search requirement for people getting unemployment benefits, Gov. Chris Sununu said Thursday.
Starting May 23, people receiving unemployment benefits will need to show that they are looking for work. Sununu said this is a return to the policies in place before the COVID-19 pandemic. The requirement had been suspended over the past year as businesses temporarily shut down or cut work forces when the economy slowed.
