NOTTINGHAM, N.H.- Town officials are scheduled to hear a proposal this week over the potential construction of a data center.

According to the town’s website Wednesday evening the Planning Board will review a conceptual presentation for the potential construction of a data center on Old Turnpike Road proposed by property owner Thomas Moulton.

According to Moulton the section of land in question is about 150 acres and he figures about 80 of those acres are usable.

With the proposal comes growing concerns raised by citizens over the environmental impact data centers could have, especially on water supply and availability in the area to which Moulton explained to the Union Leader that the water onsite would be pumped through the building as part of a closed-loop system.

Wednesday’s meeting gets underway at the Nottingham Elementary School gym at 7pm.
