Tractor Trailer lost its load in Concord

On January 28, 2020, at approximately 12:18 p.m., the New Hampshire State Police – Troop D was notified of a tractor-trailer that had lost its load of timber on the Exit 12N on-ramp for I-93 in the City if Concord, NH.

Upon the arrival of troopers at the scene, they learned that a 2016 Peterbuilt tractor-trailer driven by Gabriel Robertson, age 46, of Dublin, NH, was merging onto I93 north when the load of timber he was transporting in a 45’ flatbed trailer, shifted. As a result, a strap broke, causing numerous large pieces of timber to spill out onto the roadway of the on-ramp. Several feet of guardrail was heavily damaged as a result of the timber striking it.

The on-ramp was shut down for over an hour until the pieces of timber could be removed.

Initial investigation indicated that the load was not secured properly
