The University of New Hampshire plans to cut $12 million from its budget as part of ongoing cost-saving measures. UNH’s president said deep cuts are needed because of lower anticipated admission and a drop in federal funding. As a result, the university will continue to tightly control new hiring and implement an additional 3% across-the-board spending reduction. It’s not clear if those cuts will affect tuition.
