Wrong-way driver crashes into cruiser

EXETER, N.H.- A Dover woman is facing multiple charges after driving the wrong way on Route 101 in Exeter early Sunday morning and crashing into a State Police cruiser.

State police said Trooper Shane McClure positioned his cruiser in the path of the wrong-way driver in an attempt to stop the vehicle.

The driver, 21-year-old Cassandra Aldecoa, was arrested and charged with reckless conduct, second-degree assault, and criminal mischief, along with driving under the influence.

Her passenger, 21-year-old Zachary Lapierre of Lebanon, Maine, was also charged with disorderly conduct.
