How old do you feel? How old do you act? How old do you LOOK? When I turn 50 years old, I hope I am as happy and healthy as I am today. I hope I will embrace turning 50 as well as I did turning 21! However, I don’t want to look 50 until I’m 70.
Last Friday night, a group of us were out celebrating after the Christmas is for Kids Radiothon. I was with my husband and several old friends and some new friends, too. In a conversation with a new friend, he said, “you must be 50…” I know he said more after that, but his first four words were all I heard. 50? Did he just guess me to be 50 years old?!?! I’m 44!
It’s been four days since I heard those words. I bet I’ve looked at myself 400 times in the mirror. I’ve lifted my crows feet with my middle fingers each time, too. My poor husband doesn’t know if Botox treatment really is what I want for Christmas.
And to my new friend, you won’t be invited to my next Birthday. 🙂
