I’m truly sorry I haven’t checked in lately. I guess I forgot what it was like to have a puppy around the house again!
Alice weighs 22 pounds now. She is 14 weeks old and has adjusted well to our family. My other two dogs, Roxy and Maize are trying very hard to teach her how things go around here but some days it’s a losing a battle.. : )
Alice knows her name… she will sit with a hand signal and she will lay down also. My son is teaching her to play dead..(of course he is ) and my daughter just started working on teaching her to give her paw.
Potty training is going pretty well. No accidents in a few days. We had some trouble for a while because she had a UTI so we couldn’t blame her. She’s much better now.
We are also crate training her. It’s good for everyone. She is crated at night and I let her out at 3:30 in the morning before I leave for work. Scott sets his alarm on the weekends to do the same so we can be consistent. He’s a nice husband 🙂
One of my dogs, Roxy, is 11 and dealing with a few different health issues so she needs breaks from the obnoxious puppy. When I know Roxy has had enough, Alice goes in the crate and they all nap.
Did I mention Alice doesn’t bark? I swear to you, she has never barked. She will whine but no barking. Do you think that’ll change?
One of the many things that Alice does that makes us laugh is she doesn’t like to lay “normally” on her bed. As you can see in the picture, she always appears as if she just returned from a night of drinking.
….and she just pee’d in the living room….
