If you haven’t heard the media has gone crazy with the story about the New England Patriots and their win over the Colts on Sunday. The NFL is looking into accusations that the Patriot’s let some air out of the footballs they were playing with during the game, if the ball’s are under inflated they become easier to throw and catch in wet weather. Word spread like wildfire after a television station in Indiana first reported the story. When asked in an interview, Tom Brady laughed and said he ‘had other things to worry about’ and coach Belichick said he hadn’t heard about the accusations until the day after the game and the team will cooperate fully with the NFL investigation. I guess when you have a team as good as the Pat’s they are always going to be under the microscope, lets hope the inflation in the game balls were where they were supposed to be and we can move on the game against Seattle.
Speaking of the Patriots how about Vince Wilfork helping out a woman who was in a car crash after the game. Vince and his wife were on their way home Sunday night and came upon a car overturned on the road, they stopped and Vince pulled the woman out to safety. The woman was okay and was taken into custody by the police. Wilfork said ‘he was happy to help and would do it again’.
More good news at the gas pump, prices are down once again! Many states have gas below two dollars a gallon saving drivers with every fill up. The national average for a gallon of gas is down to $2.05, last year at this time we were paying an average of $3.29 per gallon, a savings of almost a dollar 25. Depending on how much gas your car holds the savings could add up real quick.
