What People Are Talking About 12/10/14

Many people are pretty ‘hot’ over the report that the Senate released yesterday.  The report detailed brutal post 9/11 interrogations done by the CIA including sleep deprivation, confinement, water boarding and others that are just too awful to mention.  Many think that once the report gets out many other countries will retaliate against Americans.

This is a little creepy, there is a vending machine that uses facial recognition that will deny you from buying certain snacks!  Yes, it’s almost ready to be released, the machine is programmed to your profile and if you tell the machine you can only have three boxes of cookies and you try to get a fourth, it wont give it to you, I’m not sure if the machine will offer a healthier alternative though.  The company behind the machine say’s it is good for people who need to be on a strict diet and watch what they eat, although this doesn’t prevent you from sending the guy in the next cubicle to buy you the snack!

Staying withe the topic of food, last week we learned that a big seller this year is bacon scented pillowcases, yum, this week it’s something new.  A company in Scotland has figured out how to get the smell of whisky into fabric.  It’s amazing you will be able to get the smell of ‘Johnny Walker’ in your favorite garment in the near future.  The technology is called ‘Smart Textiles’ and have become a fast developing sector with big demand.
