It’s hard to get away from the story about the New England Patriots and the whole ‘Deflategate’ story! According to ESPN, word is the NFL found that the balls used in Sunday’s AFC Championship game were found to be under inflated by as much as two pounds per square inch. The investigation is continuing according to the NFL and the patriots are cooperating with the league. There have been many questions surrounding this whole controversy, if there was a problem with the balls why didn’t the referees know something may be wrong with them? After all they touch the football as much as the quarterback and center. Other quarterbacks in the league say they like the ball to be over inflated because it is easier for him to control his throws, isn’t that against the rules too? The biggest question is, did the Patriots have an advantage in the game because of the pressure in the game balls? Even if the answer to the question is ‘no’, there are many who feel that the team cheats and will always question how the team has been good for so long.
Are you ready for a new flavor of Oreo Cookies? Nabisco announced that the latest flavor to hit store shelves will be ‘Red Velvet’. The company is releasing them just in time for Valentines Day and will only be available for six to eight weeks. The cookies will feature two dark red cookies with a cream cheese flavored center. Can’t wait to try them!
When you wake up in the morning are you like me? The first thing you do is jump in the shower? If you do you may want to change the way you end your shower. There is a new study that says in order to wake up and not be tired after the shower is to change the water temperature. First turn off the hot water for 30 seconds and just let cold water splash on you, then turn the hot water back on for 30 seconds and for the final 30 seconds of your shower just use cold water. That should leave you feeling refreshed and ready to go! Now, you may make others in your household angry if you let out a scream or two when that cold water comes out of the shower head and wakes them up.
