Angela is overwhelming in all the good she does for others. Angela is a foster mom (an incredible one too!). She makes specialized meals for each medical diagnosis for each child, foster, bio, and adopted. She is a fierce advocate that stands up for the children in her care, and those in the foster care community. Angela buys, gathers, stores, and distributes donations for the foster care community, youth aging out of the system, families reuniting, and extended families taking in youth that have been separated from their parents. Angela attends support meetings to mentor other foster families. Angela helps families find budget friendly options to be in a better financial position than previously. Angela picks up and distributes food donations throughout the community, but keeps the foster and adoptive community close to her heart. Angela opens her home to kids in need and gives them a sense of stability, safety, and support. Angela volunteers at more foster care events than I can list. She is always running around, multitasking like you’ve never seen anyone before. She picks up on behaviors, non verbal communication, and subtle things from the kids in care and is able to access that need and fulfill it tenfold. Angela never asks for credit, awards, or attention. She is the most selfless, passionate, caring person I have ever met. I have had the honor of working with her and she has never ceased to amaze me. Thank you, Angela, for all you do for the youth, families, and professionals in the foster/adoptive community and your local community. You truly are an inspiration.
