I am honored to nominate Brenda Perkins as an Outstanding Woman. Brenda is the founder of Hearts for Kindness, a grassroots organization that has become a true lifeline for local individuals and families experiencing emergency situations. Under her leadership, Hearts for Kindness has provided direct financial assistance when people needed it most, helping community members navigate unexpected crises with dignity and support. What sets Brenda apart is not only her compassion, but her ability to mobilize a community around that compassion. Through sustained fundraising efforts, she has expanded the organization’s impact enabling larger donations for those facing greater need and ensuring help reaches people quickly and meaningfully. Brenda also spearheads the Concord Mom Prom, the organization’s largest fundraiser each year. It is far more than a successful event, it’s a creative and joyful community tradition that brings women together for a safe, fun night to reconnect, laugh, and let loose, while also raising critical funds that directly support families in crisis. The event reflects Brenda’s unique ability to blend purpose with connection, and to build community in ways that are both uplifting and impactful. Beyond Hearts for Kindness, Brenda consistently shows up for the broader Concord community. She volunteers annually with the Multi-Cultural Festival in Concord, supporting an event that celebrates inclusion, connection, and community pride. She also contributes her time and energy to the Concord Chamber of Commerce, helping strengthen local relationships and support the vibrancy of the region. Brenda Perkins is an outstanding woman because she doesn’t just talk about kindness, she has built systems and events that deliver it, year after year. Her leadership, service, and dedication have made a measurable difference for people in our community, and she represents the very best of what it means to serve others. Thank you for considering Brenda Perkins for this recognition.
