Corinne Kelly had two people nominate her for 20 Outstanding Women.
Marie:
Corinne does so much for the military. She is constantly speaking and collecting cards and items to make their deployments easier. She also has a love for veterans and participates in events throughout the state to support homeless/in transition veterans and their families. She manages a schedule that the average person could not being a full-time dental student, Miss NH Volunteer, and volunteer for dozens of causes. She is outstanding in every way!
Michelle:
Corinne is truly outstanding for her heart of service. Eight years ago, she became a regular volunteer with Operation Care For Troops and at 19 is now a Board of Director. She has learned all aspects of putting together care packages for our deployed military. She has done multiple collection drives, Treats for Troops for 6 years resulting in over a ton of candy; a sock for soldiers’ collection and many more. In the past two years, she has turned her attention to grant writing and has won five grants to support her mission. What is her mission? To bring a little bit of home to our deployed service members around the world. Since 2020, she has assisted in sending over 14,000 care packages. Each care package contains a letters and cards from home which we are told is the best part of every care package. Corinne has created a nationwide network of card makers (all cards are homemade) and card signers. She also takes these cards to sporting events, service organizations, Scouts, and schools. With a need of 4-15k per packing event and shipping 3-5 times per year, this is something she does daily. In addition, Corinne volunteers at the USO as a greeter at the lounge at Boston Logan Airport. She puts together Christmas gifts for VASH (veterans assisted housing). If there is a need, Corinne takes action. Last month, she heard there was a critical shortage of blood, so she found a location and hosted a Red Cross Blood Drive. This was put together in two weeks while she home on college break and exceeded the goals of unit of bloods set by the Red Cross. She supports the Salvation Army by participating in their Christmas Toy Shoppe; rings the red kettle bells; and did a sock/blanket drive for the Manchester Salvation Army shelter. Corinne has been involved with over 40 nonprofits always willing to volunteer her time to make a difference. Her Girl Scout Gold Award was achieved documenting veteran’s stories for the US Library of Congress. She has spoken throughout New England, and even globally through the Girl Scout organization for the needs of our deployed military and veterans. She does this all plus carries a full-time college plus clinic hours. She is looking forward to serving the underserved at the Regis Dental Clinic this semester. Finally, as Miss NH Volunteer 2025, she teaches a program she created called Patriotism and Pageants. She truly has a heart for service!
Her outstanding achievements include:
- Board of Directors, Care for Troops
- State Ambassador for St. Jude’s and Salvation Army
