Kelly Dyer

Kelly Dyer is a living kidney donor, nonprofit founder, community advocate, and independent insurance professional based in New Hampshire. On April 11, nearly four years ago, Kelly made the life-changing decision to donate one of her kidneys to someone in her local community. That experience didn’t just transform the recipient’s life — it transformed hers.

One year after her donation, Kelly founded Kidneys for Kindness, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting living kidney donors during their recovery. Having personally experienced the physical, emotional, and financial challenges that come with organ donation, she understood something many people don’t talk about — while donors give a life-saving gift, they often face real financial strain while recovering.

Kidneys for Kindness raises funds to help living donors cover essential expenses during that critical recovery period. Support may include mortgage or rent payments, car payments, transportation to and from medical testing, daycare, groceries, electric bills, and other necessities. The mission is simple: no one who gives the gift of life should have to worry about how they’ll pay their bills while healing.

Kelly’s passion for service extends well beyond her nonprofit. She has been involved with Best Buddies of New Hampshire for over 15 years, advocating for inclusion and friendship for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She has also been a “Big” through Big Brothers Big Sisters for nearly a decade, mentoring a young woman named Gigi since she was five years old — who is now 14. In addition, Kelly volunteers significant time with the Boys & Girls Club of Manchester, continuing her commitment to supporting youth and strengthening her community.

Professionally, Kelly is an independent agent with New York Life Insurance Company. Her flexible career allows her to dedicate meaningful time and energy to the causes she cares deeply about. She believes success is measured not just by professional achievement, but by impact — by how many lives you can uplift along the way.

At her core, Kelly leads with heart. As a living kidney donor and founder, she speaks not just from passion, but from lived experience. Her mission is to remind people that generosity is powerful, community matters, and when we show up for one another — incredible things are possible.

Her favorite quote: “Choose You”!
