Mary Wiseman

I am honored to nominate Mary for the 20 Outstanding Woman Campaign in recognition of her extraordinary dedication, compassion, and lasting impact on our community over the past two decades. Mary is the creator, developer, and owner of a local personal training business that has proudly served the community for more than 20 years. Her longevity alone is impressive, but what truly sets Mary apart is the depth of her commitment to the individuals she serves. Many of her clients have been with her for nearly two decades, a powerful testament to her ability to truly understand, adapt to, and support people through every stage of life. Mary recognizes that bodies change with age and life circumstances, and she expertly adjusts fitness and wellness goals without ever compromising dignity, motivation, or hope. For Mary, this work is far more than a business. She takes the time to understand each client’s unique needs, goals, physical limitations, fears, and personal drive. Her approach is deeply personal and rooted in genuine care. By helping people feel strong, capable, and confident in their own bodies, Mary consistently improves not only physical health but overall quality of life. Mary’s commitment to community service extends well beyond her business. In 2011, after hearing the story of a local man who weighed over 800 pounds, Mary volunteered her time and expertise to help him reclaim his health without accepting any compensation. Through her dedication and unwavering support, he lost over 300 pounds. This remarkable journey gained regional attention and was covered by WMUR, highlighting Mary’s selflessness and belief in helping others simply because it is the right thing to do. Mary’s service does not stop there. She is also a deeply involved volunteer with Home Health and Hospice of Merrimack. In her very first year as a volunteer, Mary earned her Death Doula certificate, completed hospice training, and created a fundraising event Run, Bike, Hike which raised more than $45,000. During that same year, she also sat vigil with many individuals at the end of their lives, offering comfort, compassion, and presence during their most vulnerable moments. Since then, Mary has continued to expand her impact. She has spoken at multiple fundraising events, become a trained grief support group leader, and now facilitates monthly Death Caf meetings providing a welcoming, supportive space for open conversations about death and grief, topics many people struggle to discuss. Mary embodies what it means to be an outstanding woman. She leads with heart, serves with humility, and consistently uses her talents, energy, and entrepreneurial spirit to uplift others. Her influence reaches far beyond individual accomplishments; it is woven into the well-being of the entire community. For her unwavering service, compassion, and leadership, Mary is exceptionally deserving of recognition through the Outstanding Woman Campaign.
