Mr. Nelson really ignited my daughter’s passion in music. She started in elementary school, but Mr. Nelson really gets the kids excited about playing an instrument, trying anything they’d like, and playing fun music as well as the standard. Not only is he phenomenal at the middle school level, he also is a key part of the marching band at Pinkerton Academy. I also discovered this year that he helps produce marching band productions for Salem High School as well! He wears many hats (as well as playing many instruments), and keeps the kids engaged in their love of music. He is also such a pleasure to be around, always in bright spirits, and the kids love him. I think he is highly deserving of acknowledgement for keeping the arts alive!
