Nomination:

Ms. Brenda is the greatest gift Thornton’s Ferry could have ever received. She has decades of Early Intervention experience and has brought this experience to her blended preschool classrooms. She spends her mornings teaching three-year-olds, and her afternoons involve teaching four-year-olds. Brenda is very quick at recognizing emerging disabilities, getting children evaluated, and set up with the proper support network to help them thrive. Her day, in and of itself, would be enough to exhaust any adult, but Brenda’s day doesn’t end there. She spends her car-ride to her second job calling and touching base with parents. Her second job is working as an Early Interventionist, helping children under two get the evaluations and support systems they need. I could go on and on about how wonderful she is with children, being kind but also holding them accountable. She is there for the parents as much as she is the children. We love and appreciate her very much.
