Sarah is the art teacher for students from kindergarten through eighth grade. Not an easy task, but Sarah always does it seamlessly. She has created an artist’s workshop environment where she regularly introduces a medium, a technique or an artist to her students. From there her students incorporate that knowledge in the workshop setting to create their own art. Far from a one size fits all, she remembers her students’ favorite topics, materials and techniques and pushes their limits to try new things. Even the students who might say they are not an artist just love going to her class! The setting is so enjoyable that teachers often give up their own precious planning time to “be an artist” right along with their students! I wish everyone could spend a day with Sarah!
