We’re thrilled to announce Currie Pope-Konner as our November Teacher of the Month, recognized for her extraordinary dedication to her students and more than 25 years of pouring her heart into Special Education.
Currie is a dedicated Special Education teacher and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst with more than 25 years of experience. She pours everything she has into helping students with all levels of disabilities learn in the ways that work best for them.
Parents of her students, past and present, always recognize her and stop to share how much they appreciate her, how much progress their child has made, or how much they miss having her as a teacher. She remembers every one of her students, and they remember her with the same warmth—often with a joyful “Miss Currie!” and a full-speed hug.
In our 23 years together, she has consistently received holiday and end-of-year gifts from families grateful for how deeply she cares for both students and parents. It’s genuinely hard to walk through a local Hannaford or Target without a heartfelt reunion.
