Here is what Melanie Webster said in the nomination:

My son has Autism and Mrs. O’Leary was always in communication with us to let us know how he was doing.  She always made Daniel accountable for his actions, but was kind and fair at the same time.  She is no longer his teacher, but when we stopped to say hello during open house, she went out of her way to send me an email thanking me and telling me how much she missed working with Daniel.
