Sarah is one of the most unassuming teachers I have ever met, yet one of the best at making connections with students and making them want to learn.  She establishes such a strong sense of community in her classes.  She started out as a special educator, moved to the middle school as a language arts teacher, moved to fifth grade and this year has taken on the challenge of fourth grade.  In every position I have seen her in, she always has a smile, never stresses about the little things, meets kids where they are and sets realistic yet ambitious goals for where they could be at the end of the year and does it all with never a complaint! Students always love being in her class and hence always have a great year.  Isn’t that what we all want for every child?
