We ended our 2025-2026 Tech of the Month with a special visit up North to see Adrea Morin, a teacher that has spent a lifetime teaching and is now heading into….semi-retirement. We’re not surprised by this as her nominator made it clear, Mrs Morin is a true example of a teacher who has put everything into their career.
Andrea Morin is one of the most compassionate and influential people I have ever known. I was her student around 2008 or 2009, and at 27 years old, I still consider her one of the most impactful people in my life. During a very difficult time in my childhood, she made me feel safe, supported, and cared for. She had an incredible ability to recognize when a student was struggling and responded with kindness, understanding, and genuine compassion. She was far more than just a teacher. She created a classroom where every student felt seen, valued, and accepted. She made school feel safe and exciting, and she consistently went above and beyond for her students both academically and personally. One memory that has stayed with me all these years was during our fifth-grade graduation, when a student did not have a clean shirt to wear. Without hesitation, she brought him clothes so he could feel confident and included. That moment perfectly represents who Andrea Morin is; someone who always put her students first and cared deeply about their well-being far beyond the classroom.
